World's Cheapest Car
TATA Motors, a car manufacturer company in India, has unveiled its new model, named ‘NANO’.
It’s a small size car (length = 3.1m, width = 1.5m and height = 1.6m). It is rear-wheel driven, by all-aluminium, two-cylinder, 623cc, 33ps, multi-point fuel injection petrol engine.
Ahem. You might want to read the second paragraph above again. Please. Yes. I would like to highlight here: TWO-CYLINDER. It’s the first time for a car to be pushed to roll by a two-cylinder gasoline engine.
Well, it’s claimed that it has the necessary safety features. And it is having exhaust emission comply with emission standards.
So, how cheap it is?
It’s going to be sold in India at the price of 100,000 rupee, or around US$2600.
